The ignorance of a few people seems to know no bounds. He forgot the small warnings that were given to the people of Fir'oun and at every such adhab, they used to go to Musa AlayhisSalaam and tell him they will give up their dis-obedience to Allah but everytime they fell back on their word. Also the entire Egyptian population wasn't wiped out at the time of Prophet Musa, only the people with Fir'oun chasing Bani Israel were drowned. And from then on, there were no natural disasters wiping out entire nations as Bani Israel were the first nation to be given orders of Jihad.
Also, in the case of this Ummah, Allah accepted the Du'a of the Prophet AlayhisSalatu WasSalaam wherein he asked Allah not to wipe his Ummah out as a result of natural disaster or a tyrrant ruler so we(Ummah of Muhammad AlayhisSalatuWassalaam) can't be wiped out cuz that is a promise from Allah to his Messenger.
And standing firm on a notion doesn't make that notion the truth. Iblees still stands firm in his notion that he was right in dis-obeying Allah so does that make him right ?
I know someone will unleash a huge personal attack against me but Bi-idhnillah I won't stop from speaking the truth unless I find the people responding as completely ignorant.
As the Hadith of the Prophet AlayhisSalaatuWasSalaam goes(interpretation) "The one amongst you who believes in Allah and the last day, let him say that which is good or stay quiet"

Javeria, it is sad to learn which direction our imaginations and judgements as a nation en masse, are heading to - a tunnel of narrow vision heading towards nowhere.

You quoted a few ayats that do not at all fit in this situation.
If my knowledge of azaabs in history is not wrong, I presume that the azaab had the following characteristics:
1. It came through unnatural causes.
2. It came after repeated clear warnings.
3. Entire civilisations were wiped out.

Examples are Noah's flood, exterminations of Qaum e Aad, Samood, Lut, the army of abraha, and perhaps Pompeii etc. Things happened in Biblical/Quranic proportions.

I still stand firm in my notion that it is becoming a fashion/trend to relate any mass human tragedy to azaab to create a hype. This is fitnagari and this practice should be stopped.

@Muhammad akbar

What brother Danish said is true and is based on the following words of Allah.

"Evil has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return." (Ar-Rum: 41)

It is necessary for every heedful eye to learn a lesson from the calamities and disasters occurring in the lives of individuals and nations. To call them a turn of events or merely an accident and move on can prove harmful.

Allah Ta'ala says:

"And verily we will make them taste of the near torment (in this world) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter) in order that they may return (repent)." (As-Sajdah: 21)

"Was there any town that believed and its faith saved it (from the punishment) except the people of Yunus; when they believed we removed from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the world and permitted them to enjoy for a while (more). " (Yunus:98)

"And turn in repentance and in obedience with true faith to your Lord and submit to Him before the torment comes upon you (and) then you will not be helped." (Az-Zumar: 54)

"And fear the fitnah which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong and know that Allah SWT is severe in punishment." (Al-Anfal: 25)

Relating any mass human tragedy to AZAAB, to add further pain to the agony of the suffering people is becoming a fashion these days. The real azaab upon us is that we have people like you in our masses who think this way.

Assalaamu 'Alaykum

Indeed this is most sad and who knows when this situation may come to us. We see signs of the Adhab of Allah all around us and yet we don't repent. May Allah guide us all Aameen
