We are on the verge of an Islamic Revival ~ Says Anwer Awlaki

2024 Revival of the Islamic Caliphate and the role of youth

Transcription of the lecture ‘State of the Ummah’ Part 1 by Umm e Aaminah

Dear brothers and sister, I am speaking to you from Yemen at the moment and there are some similarities between Yemen and Pakistan, so when speaking about one,it is like speaking about the other. Both countries have a strong popular attachment and affiliation with Islam, both claim to be democratic republics, both countries suffer from political instability and turmoil. Both countries are important US partners in the war on terror, both countries have lost their sovereignty to US by having drone strikes in their territory and have been used as supply stations for America’s war against Muslims and both countries are ruled by crooks. Infact all the way from Rabat to Kabul our landscape is littered by gangsters ruling over our passive population.

I believe that as Muslims we should advise each other sincerely and we should talk with honesty. Sugar coating is not going to do anyone any benefit. So if we want to change our situation, we really need to sit down and think about it and decide what the illness is, what the symptoms are and how to cure it. We need to get over the diseases of nationalism, tribalism, different ethnicities, and different languages that may lead to differences among us. When in reality they should be a reason for our strength as an Ummah. This variety that we have, the different backgrounds that we have, the different ethnicities that we have, the different languages that we speak, should be a source of strength for us and not a source of weakness. So I want to touch on some topics that might be perceived as sensitive by some but again as I said, I am saying this with sincerity and want it as an advice for myself and for my brothers and sisters.

This is the state of the Ummah today and we need to change it. And the change ALWAYS in history, depends on the YOUTH. When Allah zawjal talked about Ibraheem (Alayhissalam) when  he did a monumental event in his life which was the destruction of the idols. It says in Quran,

“We heard the young man speak about them, his name is  Ibraheem.”(Quran 21:61)

So he was young at that time. And the famous story of the youth of the cave. A whole Surah is named after them (Surah 18: Al-Kahaf) Surah of the Cave. They were youth. Rasool Allah (sallalahu alyhe wasalam) his followers were also youth. So it is youth who always in history, bear the burden of change.

Now to understand your role and your potential in bringing change, you need to first realize who you are and where you are.

Brothers and sisters, we are on the verge of an Islamic Revival. And there’s an evidence for this. I am not speaking out of my good hope and good expectations for the Ummah, but there’s evidence for this.

Rasool Allah (s) says in a hadith that is authentic,

Every century, every one hundred years,Allah would send someone or some people who would revive the religion again

If we go back and see when the Islamic Khilafah officially fell down, its in the year 1924. Thats when the last Islamic Khilafah ended, the Ottoman Khilafah.  Since then, we have not had a khilafah, but we have borrowed the .., actually we didn’t borrow it, it was forced upon us, the western concept of nation state. Since then. As Muslims we have been living in such .. a political environment.

If we take this hadith of Rasool Allah to mean that Allah will revive for us, the aspects of our religion that need revival, one of the most important, one of them is governance and Rasul Allah says,

[Translation]The rituals of Islam or the aspects of Islam will fall down one after the other, the first one would be governance and the last one would be Salah.

So if we take the hadith to mean that Allah will revive for us the aspects our religion that need revival, one of them as I mentioned is  governance. So since we have been missing Islamic governance, since 1924, we hope and we expect that one hundred years since that date, will not pass, until Allah will bring back Islamic rule for us in the form of a Khilafah. And that would mean that before the year 2024 BeiznilAllah , obviously no one knows the unseen but Allah, but we can derive the meaning from this hadith that Allah will not leave us for more than a hundred years without Islamic rule. So we are on the verge of an Islamic Revival. A revival not limited to the intellectual realm but a revival in governance , Jihad fe sabeelillah and every area that needs to be revived….

to be cont.

Importance of First Ten Days of Zil Hajj and Sacrifice

SOURCE : Quran For All Blog

Importance of the Month of ZulHajjah

  • Hajj is performed in this month.
  • The first ten days of ZulHajjah are extremely sacred and good deeds are most beloved to Allah in these ten days.
  • The Prophet said, “No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhal Hajja).” Then some companions of the Prophet said, “Not even Jihad?” He replied, “Not even Jihad”, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah’s sake) and does not return with any of those things.”(Bukhari 15: 86)

  • 9th ZulHajja is a very sacred day. When asked about fasting on the  of Zul Hajjaj (Yaum e Arafah) Rasool Allah saw said: “It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year” (Muslim 6: 2603)
  • The second Muslim festival Eid ul Adha falls on the 10th of ZulHajjah.
  • An animal sacrifice, in memory of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (as) is offered on 10th ZulHajjah.

Importance of Sacrifice:

Sacrifice has not been made obligatory by Allah Tala, however it has the status of being Obligatory Sunnah ( Sunnat e Wjiba). Through this act, pleasure of Allah is obtained and also results in atonement of sins!

Sacrifice has been commanded to the people in all the revealed laws (Shariat) since the time of Prophet Adam (as) to Prophet Muhammad (as).

Allah Tala mentioned this sunnah in beautiful words in Surah Safaat:
And he (Ibrhaim as) said (after his rescue from the fire): “Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!” “My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous.” So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: “O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allâh), so look what you think!” He said: “O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Inshâ’ Allâh (if Allâh will), you shall find me amongst the patient ones.

Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allâh), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead; And We called out to him: “O Abraham! You have fulfilled the dream” Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinûn (good-doers). Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial and We ransomed him with a great sacrifice and We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. Salâmun (peace) be upon Ibrâhim!”

After seeing the dream, Ibrahim (as) transcended all logic and sacrificed his most beloved possession, his own son, for the sake of Allah.

Wisdom of Sacrifice

Sacrifice is the symbol of full obedience and total submission to Allah

Ibrahim’s (as) obedience, loyalty and sacrifice greatly earned the pleasure of Allah Subhana Watala and he was declared as a Muhsin and Khalil Allah (Friend of Allah) and his name and his sacrifice is remembered till this day. Five times a day, Muslims send their blessings on Ibrahim (as) along with Muhammad (saw)

Allah Tala expects the same obedience and sacrifice from His slaves. In front of the command of Allah, there should be no excuses.

In remembrance of this sacrifice of Ibrahim (as), Muslims all over the world make a commitment that Oh Lord of the Worlds; We are your obedient slaves. Everything we possess belongs to you. If you command us, we will sacrifice our lives for the sake of Islam.

Thus sunnat of Sacrifice offered every year is actually the expression of a salve’s love for his Creator. The word Qurbani is derived from the word “Qurb”- nearness. Sacrifice is thus a form of worship through which love and nearness of Allah can be attained.

Allah Tala says in Surah Anam 162:

“Say (O Prophet Muhammad saw) Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for the sake of Allah”

While sacrificing, if this state and if these feelings of love and total obedience to Allah are not there, then merely shedding the blood of animals and distributing meat are all activities without any spirit.

Allah Tala does not need blood of animals nor meat from animals. All that He requires from His slaves is the Taqwa, obedience and the feelings of self sacrifice for their Lord.

Allah Tala says in Surah Hajj:

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allâh, but it is piety from you that reaches Him”

Thus the real spirit of sacrifice is that a man should leave his bad habits, stop following his wishes and desires and stop following traditions. Man should leave and sacrifice all those things in this world which stop him from attaining nearness to Allah.

What to do in the first ten days of ZulHajjah?

  • Recite the masnoon dua when sighting the moon of ZulHajjah.
  • Recite the Takbiraat as much as possible from the 1st ZulHajjah to the 13th of ZulHajjah.
  • After sighting the moon of ZulHajjah, do not cut or trim your hair and nails until you have offered the sacrifice. As Rasool Allah saw has ordered:

“When any one of you intending to sacrifice the animal enters in the month (of Dhu’l-Hijja) he should not get his hair or nails touched (cut)” (Muslim 22: 4870)

  • Perform good deeds (Fasting, charity, voluntary prayers, zikr, etc) as much as possible.
  • Observe the fast of 9th ZulHajjah, as this leads to expiation of sins of the preceding year and the year to follow.

What to do on Eid Day?

  • Do not eat anything on Eid ul Adha until after the Eid Prayer and the sacrifice; as this was the sunnah of Rasool Allah saw.
  • While on the way for Eid Prayer, recite the Takbiraat loudly.
  • Rasool Allah saw ordered all Muslim women, young girls and even women in monthly impurity to come out for Eid prayers. If they don’t have a veil, they should borrow it from someone while women in monthly impurity should stay away from the Musallah.(Bukhari 15:96)
  • It is masnoon to offer the sacrifice at the place of Eid Prayer.

Facts VS Misconceptions about Shabaan

By Javeria

FACT : The most involuntary fasts (nafil fasts) kept by Rasool Allah sallalahu alayhe wasallam were in the month of shabaan.

A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) did not observe fast in any month of the year more than in the month of Sha’ban, and used to say: Do as many deeds as you are capable of doing, for Allah will not become weary (of giving you reward), but you would be tired (of doing good deeds) ; and he also said: The deed liked most by Allah is one to which the doer adheres constantly even if it is small.( Muslim :: Book 6 : Hadith 2582 )

MISCONCEPTION: Fasting on 15th of Shaban is a deed of great reward.

FACT: Fasting ONLY on 15th of Shabaan is an innovation and not according to the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Thus should be totally avoided. Fasting frequently in Shabaan was the Sunnah of Rasool Allah However; Rasool prohibited his ummah from fasting after 15th of Shabaan due to fear of becoming too weak to be able to fast in Ramadan.

Rasool Allah Sallaalahu alayhe Wasallam said : “When half of shaban has passed, do not fast” (Abu Dawood Bab 12: Hadith  2337- Classed Hasan Sahih by Albani)

Therefore the Muslims should fast frequently in the first half of Shabaan and avoid fasting in the second half of Shabaan.

MISCONCEPTION: Shab e Baraat i.e. the 15th of Shabaan is a Special Night for prayers in Islam.

FACT: There is no such thing as Shab e Baraat. Word Shab e Baraat never appears in the Quran or Hadith. Shab e Baraat is infact NOT an Arabic Word.

Shab e Barat is actually Persian for lailatul qadr:
The night on which the Quran was revealed is termed “Lailatul Qadr” in Surah al Qadr in the Quran. When Lailtul Qadr is translated in Persian Language : Lailatul became Shabb and Qadr became “Baraat”. Thus Shab e Baraat is the Persian translation of Lailatul Qadr.

This is the night on which Quran was revealed, it is a night of great blessing and it falls in the last 10 days of Ramadan. Thus there is no reality in celebrating the night of 15th of sha’baan, because Shab e Baraat actually falls in Ramadan.

(Reference:Translation of Tafsir Surah Dukhaan, Taiseer ul Quran , Vol 4, pg. 176 by Molana Abdul Rehman Kelani.)

MISCONCEPTION: On this blessed night Allah Tala descends down to forgive people

FACT: Allah Tala descends down EVERY night to forgive the people who repent.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Apostle said, “When it is the last third of the night, our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, descends every night to the heaven of the world and says, ‘Is there anyone who invokes Me (demand anything from Me), that I may respond to his invocation; Is there anyone who asks Me for something that I may give (it to) him; Is there anyone who asks My forgiveness that I may forgive him?’ “Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 75, Number 333:

MISCONCEPTION: This is the blessed night on which the taqdeer is decided. Who will live…who will die. Who will get how much rizq…

The following verses of the Quran are presented as evidence  stating that this verse is talking about a blessed night on which everything is decreed and that night is 15th of Shaban.

Veriy We Sent it down on a blessed night Verily,We are ever warning (3) There in is decreed every matter of ordainments(4) As a Command from Us. Verily, We are ever sending , (5)(As) a Mercy from your Lord. Verily! He is theAll-Hearer, the All-Knower. (6)

Surah Dukhaan Chapter 44 Verse 4

FACT: The verse is being misquoted.
This Verse is about a Night in Ramadan NOT Shab e Baraat. The verse is talking about revelation of Quran on a blessed Night. Read the first 2 ayats of Surah Dukhaan again!

Indeed we sent IT (i.e. The Quran) on a blessed Night (Lailtul Qadr in Ramadan)

Allah has informed us in Surah Baqarah that the Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan.

شَہۡرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur’an.( Surah Al Baqarah. Chapter 2:185)

So which night is Surah Dukhaan talking about? It is indeed Lailatul Qadr of Ramadan

The night of revelation of Quran in Ramadan is none other than Lailtul Qadr.

On Lialatul Qadr… angels descend and taqdeer is decided.. not on 15th Shabaan. Proof is in Surah Qadr

Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree. (1) And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?(2) The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months(3) The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.(4) Peace it is until the emergence of dawn(5)(Quran  97: Surah Qadr)

Lailtul Qadr is the night on which decree is decided.

Please re-read verse four: “On that night is made distinct every precise matter.”

This is the verse which is talking about deciding of fate. and in Surah Qadr, the name itself is self explanatory, ” Qadr” – Taqdeer” The night of decree – \decree means “to decide”

also Allah says in this surah Qadr:
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for EVERY MATTER.

Please visit the following link and read the tafsir of Surah Qadr from Tafsir Ibn Kathir.

http://www.tafsir.com/default.asp?sid=97&tid=58835

And we all know that Laitul Qadr isa night which falls in the odd nights of last 10 days of Ramadan. So the Night of Decree is NOT 15th Shabaan but Lailatul Qadr.

MISCONCEPTION : Souls of the dead visit the earth and therefore one should go to cemeteries.

FACT: Once a person dies, if the soul is good, it is sent to IleeYeen and if it is bad it is sent down to Sijeyeen. There is a barzakh / a barrier between the souls and this world and they can never ever return to this world or contact us.

Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allâh), he says: “My Lord! Send me back, (99) “So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!” No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected.(Surah Mominoon -100)

Dr. Israr Ahmed’s QTV Statement

Dr. Israr Ahmed’s QTV Statement regarding the hadith about Ali Radiallahu Anhuma:

QTV Statement Audio File

There was a lecture of Dr. Israr Ahmed on QTV Channel on 12th June,08 in which he was giving the Explanation of Surah Nisa Verse 43 : O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a mind befogged, until ye can understand all that ye say…”

Dr. Israr quoted the reason of revelation of this verse, which one sect of Muslims found offensive to their beliefs.

According to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir Ibn Jarir and hadiths mentioned in Sunan Abi Dawood and Jama Tirmizi which have been classified as Sahih by Sheikh Nasir Uddin Albani and also mentioned by Mufti Muhammad Shafi : Some companions along with Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra) were gathered together and had a few drinks and this was before the prohibition of alcohol. Then time for prayer came and Ali (ra) was asked to lead the prayers in which due to intoxication he made a mistake. Then the above mentioned verse of Surah Nisa was revealed.

SOME FACTS FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE:

Drinking was common before the final order of its Prohibition came:

Before the complete Prohibition of alcohol, the companions of Prophet Muhammad used to drink alcohol and there is nothing to be ashamed about or upset about this fact. Allah’s orders came gradually, first telling the fact that Alcohol has some good in it but it has more harm in it. It was only this second order which forbade the Muslims from being drunk in the state of prayer and the final order came later which completely banned alcoholic drinks. When the final order came, some companions were at that moment drinking but on hearing the order totally threw away their drinks. Then some people started having doubts about the Muslims who were killed before the final prohibition, so Allah revealed the verse that there is no sin on them for what they had in the past before the prohibition order and this has been mentioned in Bukhari

Bukhari : Volume 3, Book 43, Number 644:

Narrated Anas:

I was the butler of the people in the house of Abu Talha, and in those days drinks were prepared from dates. Allah’s Apostle ordered somebody to announce that alcoholic drinks had been prohibited. Abu Talha ordered me to go out and spill the wine. I went out and spilled it, and it flowed in the streets of Medina. Some people said, “Some people were killed and wine was still in their stomachs.” On that the Divine revelation came:- “On those who believe And do good deeds There is no blame For what they ate (in the past).” (Quran 5: 93)

Ali Radiallahu Anhum was a human being and it is human to err

Why is it hard to accept that all Arabs used to drink before Alcohol was prohibited and if Ali (ra) had alcohol so did many other companions and there is no sin on them at all for doing something which was allowed at that time. Also Ali (ra) was a human and it is human to err or make a mistake in recitation of Quran. If it is your belief that he was a super human or an angel who never made any mistakes, then keep your beliefs to your own self. No need to impose your beliefs on others and make others do Explantion of Quran according to your own wishes and desires.

Stop Abusing Dr. Israr Ahmed: It is a sin to abuse and revile other Muslims

After this incident, the disgruntled people started abusing Dr. Israr and writing abuse on the walls of Karachi, making online hate groups against Dr. Israr and insulting him on forums and websites. For those people abusing Dr. Israr and using bad language against him… my response:

Is this what your Imam Ali (ra) taught you, to use abusive and obscene language against others??? You claim to be following the true Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.. Is it the way of Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alayhe Wasallam to use filthy langugae against other humans?

Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As is reported to have said: Verily a person asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) who amongst the Muslims was better. Upon this (the Holy Prophet) remarked: From whose hand and tongue the Muslims are safe. Book 001, Number 0064: MUSLIM

Narrated Abu Huraira: that he heard the Prophet saying, “O Allah! If I should ever abuse a believer, please let that be a means of bringing him near to You on the Day of Resurrection.” Bukhari Volume 8, Book 75, Number 372:

Abusing others is an act of Jahalat

Narrated Al-Ma’rur:At Ar-Rabadha I met Abu Dhar who was wearing a cloak, and his slave, too, was wearing a similar one. I asked about the reason for it. He replied, “I abused a person by calling his mother with bad names.” The Prophet said to me, ‘O Abu Dhar! Did you abuse him by calling his mother with bad names You still have some characteristics of ignorance. Volume 1, Book 2, Number 29: Bukhari

Sayings of Ali Radiallahu Anhum regarding the tongue and abusing others

“A man is hid under his tongue.”

“Do not speak in a state of ignorance.”

“That knowledge is superficial which is merely on the tongue. That knowledge is real which demonstrates itself in your practice.” Source (Witness Pioneer)

Hazrat Ali said: “I consider it highly undesirable to abuse and revile others….” [Nehjulbalagha, islamic seminary publications, sermon 211]

Allah has forbidden the Muslims to even abuse and revile the non-Muslims (Kafirs and Mushriks)… let alone Muslims! So how can you abuse other Muslims and Companions of Prophet Muhammad and Muslim Scholars??

It seems like your religion is good for nothing but abusing, cursing, reviling and insulting other Muslims, starting from the best of the companions of Prophet Muhammad saw, his honorable wives the mothers of the believers, sunni muslims, wahabis, salafis, Muslim Imams, scholars, preachers you name it! Arent all these people Muslims who have read the Kalima

Narrated Abu Said:

The Prophet said, “Do not abuse my companions for if any one of you spent gold equal to Uhud (in Allah’s Cause) it would not be equal to a Mud or even a half Mud spent by one of them.” Bukhari Volume 5, Book 57, Number 22:

How can you abuse and curse left right and centre when Allah has prohibited the Muslims from even cursing or abusing non muslims, the mushriks, Christians and pagans?!!

Quran (6:108 )
” Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah…”

Update :(After reading my post I am sure you would be dying to curse and abuse me, as well as abusing Dr. Israr more, but please keep your dirty language insults and accusations off my blog)

Finding Freeedom in Fundamentals

Woodrow Wilson Women’s Studies Fellow examines transnational Islamic women’s academy

They gather in local classrooms and in each other’s homes; in rural villages and in urban centers; around kitchen tables and computer screens; in Karachi, Toronto, and Tempe. Many, though lifelong Muslims, are reading tafsir (exegesis) of the Qur’an for the first time to understand what it actually says about everything from hygiene to civil society. And many students of the Al-Huda Academy for Women, according to khanum Shaikh (WS ’07), find the experience freeing.

“There’s an incredible enthusiasm and excitement, a transformation among [Al-Huda’s] members,” says Ms. Shaikh, a doctoral candidate in women’s studies at the University of California at Los Angeles. “Many talk about how unaware Pakistani women have historically been of what religion really means in daily life—raising children, being a citizen, forging a relationship with Allah. Al-Huda opens up a wealth of information for people to reformulate their lives, while …”Read More here

Dr Israr advises Musharraf to call it a day

LAHORE, Nov 19: Religious scholar and Tanzeem-i-Islami founder Dr Israr Ahmad has called for lifting the emergency, reinstatement of superior court judges and withdrawal of all actions taken in pursuance of the proclamation of emergency and Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) besides resignation of Gen Pervez Musharraf.

Addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club here on Monday, Dr Israr urged General Pervez Musharraf to call it a day and resign from both president of Pakistan and chief of army staff slots if he earnestly believed in his own slogan ‘Pakistan first’ after accepting the demands of people from within Pakistan and abroad. Gen Musharraf should not keep his personal interest above the national interests, Dr Israr added.

He also called upon opposition political parties to ensure that their proposed movement for the restoration of democracy remains peaceful and they should themselves hand over to the government saboteurs disrupting their movement.

He said that they should call off their movement for the sake of national security and Pakistan’s survival if they felt it was beyond their control to keep it peaceful.

He quoted the example of calling off a movement launched by the late Indian prime minister, Indira Gandhi, when the agitated people had burnt down a police station in an Indian town of Chura Churi in which policemen were also burnt.

He said that Pakistan was facing threats from both eastern and western borders due to internal disturbance started after March 9 when Gen Musharraf had suspended deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. It led to a people’s movement and protest against the military rule identical to the PNA’s movement of 1977.

“If the situation worsens, the NATO forces are waiting on the western front to move into Pakistan and may deprive the country of its nuclear assets while on the eastern border India is ready to stage an action replay of 1971 events and has alerted its armed forces to intervene in to check threats to peace in the region.”

Dr Israr expressed his concern over yet another equally dangerous situation caused by what he described as “polarisation between extreme forces of secularism and the people demanding enforcement of Islamic Shariah in the country”. The situation he said, had taken an alarming proportion in the tribal areas, particularly in the areas north of Malakand and in Swat.

He said that it was not possible to suppress the movement by use of military force. The only way to solve the problem was to take Constitutional, legal and evolutionary measures for the enforcement of Islamic Shariah. For this purpose, he suggested making Article 2-A of the Constitution relating to the Objectives Resolution as overriding article and the parliament should take steps to make laws as recommended by the Council of Islamic Ideology in its voluminous reports lying in shelves of the government departments for the past many years.

God’s Warriors : Battle Cry against the pop culture

The Global Pop culture is eating up the youth in each and every country around the globe. It is taking over the moral values and the cultures of those countries. As Imam Anwar Awlaki describes it in “Life of Muhammad saw – The Meccan Period  CD 1

“There is a global culture that is being forced down the throats of everyone on the face of the earth. This global culture is protected and promoted…we are not really dealing with a global culture that is benign or compassionate. This is a culture that gives you no choice… It is a very intolerant culture, that can not co exist with anything else. It uproots every other culture on the face of the earth. Just cuts the roots of it. And you have a quote here by Alexander Sofzen. He is a famous Russian Historian writer. He says To destroy a people, you must sever their roots. So its really a destruction of the people of the earth because every other culture is being demolished. So this is not a global culture that will co exist with others, it will replace others.”

This pop culture has attacked the roots of the human moral system promoting vulgar dressing, encouraging free open  lifestyle, popularizing pornography, music, drinking etc…

Muslims are usually called extremists, fundamentalists, terrorists, conservative and intolerant  if they stand up against this culture and refuse to adapt it as it goes against the commandments of Allah (God) , Quran and the Sunnah.

I had a chance to see  the third part of a documentary called God’s Warriors on CNN.I was quite surprised and happy to see  that there are sane Americans out there who also have rejected this culture calling it immoral and have stood up to speak against it. What was even more surprising is that majority of these “warriors” were youngsters and teenagers…

Following is a brief Introduction to the documentary with a brief intro to the “Battle Cry Campaign” followed by a small clip from this documentary.  A Must Watch!

God’s Warriors was a three-part CNN documentary produced by Christiane Amanpour in which she compares the rise of religious fundamentalism as a political force in the world. The documentary was filmed in the United States, Europe and Middle East. It focuses on the three major monotheistic religions of the world, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

The three chapters were titled God’s Jewish Warriors, God’s Muslim Warriors, and God’s Christian Warriors. The first describes the Jewish settlement movement in Israel and the fund-raising in the United States that supports it, while the second presents issues of radical Islam and Sharia law. The final segment focused on the United States and the political influence of Christian religious leaders. ( Source Wikipedia)

The following Video Clip from God’s Christian Warriors take you to a BattleCry Campaign.

The Battle Cry Campaign is an organizing initiative of a parachurch organization known as Teen Mania Ministries. This initiative, started in 2005 and headed by Teen Mania founder Ron Luce, has an evangelical Christian orientation.

The Campaign maintains that “for the first time ever,” “sexualized culture,” “point and click pornography,” and young people being “saturated with media influence” spell doom for Christianity in America.

“A stealthy enemy has infiltrated our country and is preying upon the hearts and minds of 33 million American teens. Corporations, media conglomerates and purveyors of popular culture have spent billions to seduce and enslave our youth.”

This is what these Christians are saying! Shame on us Muslims – Shame on our youth! We are blindly following the Western Culture! We are busy in parties, clubbing, music and movies! We are busy watching MTV  or trying to be on MTV… we are just too busy trying to copy their dresses, way of walking talking speaking and even sleeping!
