    Walaykum Salam,

Please visit the link below regarding your question

    http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/38106/boss%20pray

Have you talked with your supervisor or boss?

I think first of all you should speak to your boss and ask him to give you a break of 10 minutes so you can at least offer the farz namaz.

Im sure you do get small breaks in the middle, what you can do is reschedule your break at namaz time so you can pray.

While at home set up alarms at namaz time so you can wake up and offer the fard namaz atleast.

There is NO WAY OUT of praying. Muslims are obligated to pray even when they are in the battle field.. so a call centre job should not be an excuse.

If your boss does not allow you time to pray then you should consider leaving the job and Inshallah Allah will provide you with a better job. Do read the fatwa on the link I provided as i am no scholar.

    Wasalam,
    Javeria

  3. @Adnan

Well Astronomy is just a small hobby restricted to owning a small telescope and star gazing .

It is purely recreational and no nothing as great as calculating Torque or anything mathematical!

  4. Dear javeria and all AOA

    Thanks for sharing hadiths. Jazakallah.

It is definitley now on my “To Get” list

I was not aware you are fond of astronomy. there was a time when I wanted to be an astronomer or astrophysics specialist but no such education was available in Pakistan. You studied in UK, I wonder why didn’t you think about it?

BTW, I calculated Earth’s Torque while in restroom and this happened when I was in 12th grade.

  5. @ Adeel

Brother Adeel, the comments already on the post, I feel are enough and complete. Further comments I am receiving are arguments on the same issues therefore they are useless. However I do not see why I should remove ALL the comments on that post.

My blog is not a book of tafsir not fatwas, neither am I a scholar and i feel further approval of comments would not result in clarification of the topic, rather will cause more confusion.
Please do not make this an issue of egos.

  6. Javeria – I am receiving lots and lots of comments on it and i feel it would be nothing but a long useless argument.

Adeel – I have given you the hint long ago, before all that happenings, about this nothing but a long useless arguments. None the less, I would definitely appreciate your efforts.

  7. You got me right, so its not beating around the bush or at least it worked. Furthermore, its just meant for you not everyone. Thus, I think I was hitting the target.

Well, so it would not be wise to leave it halfway. You should either remove all comments or none. Otherwise, someone might take an incomplete information from there and for granted. Baat deen ki he is liye buhat ehtiyat zaroori he. Imam Razi ne apni tafseer mein kuchh muamlaat kaafi safhaat tak kheinche, sirf is liye ke insaaf ho aur parhne walay par saaf ho muamla taake kuchh bhi un ke sar na rahe. Baaqi aap mujh se behter samajhti hain.

    Thanks for your clarification.

  8. Assalam o alykum,

was reading the comments and wondered the same thing about the fast of “yaum arfa” before but found out on http://www.islamweb.net in fatawa section……..that fasting should be done according to 9th of the place where a person is and not the day of haj in arfa……The significance is of date and not place …….
    Allah Knows best

  9. @ Adeel

    AoA,
It would be more appropriate brother Adeel that you be straightforward and bring up the issues on the table instead of beating around the bush and doing “tanz” and doing “shakk” on my intentions.

About the comments not being moderated, for your information all comments on the “Leaders” wali post are not being approved regardless of who is posting them. I am receiving lots and lots of comments on it and i feel it would be nothing but a long useless argument. Therefore comments on the Leaders just don’t fall out of the sky are closed.

  10. Moderate naheen ho rahe comments. Na jaane kya hua. Khair, jis ki laathi us ki bhens.

Allah aap ko insaaf karne wala banaye. Meri taraf se Allah Hafiz. Koi baray logon ki community dhoond raha hoon, ounchay logon ki. Jahan jeetna maqsad na ho aur sach aur haq ko fauqiyat ho. Dua kijiyega.

Jaatey jaatey ek mashwara dena chahta hoon. Hadith parhte waqt shara saath rakhna buhat zaroori he. Hadith interpret karne ka haq sirf muhaddiseen ko he. Kyoon ke wahi hain jo Hadith ka haq ada kar saktay hain kisi hadh tak. Doosra ye keh Usul-ul-Fiqh bhi kisi chiriya ka naam he. Ulama se poochhna kisi bhi haalat mein zaroori he. Hadith ke jo mafhoom samjhe ya samajh mein aaye, us par iktifa karna awwal darjay ki bewaqoofi aur jahalat he. Haq tou ye he keh jo samjha usay aalim ke saamney bayan kiya jaaye aur us ko ziyada gehrai mein samjha jaaye. Agar kitaab ka hona hi kaafi hota tou paighambar ka nuzool be-wajeh tasawwur kiya jata.

Ek aakhri baat ye keh koi bhi besh-qeemti cheez bethay bethay naheen milti, sakht mehnat darkaar he. Aur deen se ziyada kya cheez qeemti hogi?

  11. As-salaamu’alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu

Eid Mubarak to you too! (sorry for the delay)
I pray you and your family had a wonderful Eid!

    Wa’alaykum as-salaam
    Farhana

  12. @Fariha

    Walaykum Salam,

JazkAllahu Khair for remembering me and sending me a link of a really marvelous thing.

It is definitley now on my “To Get” list..

    Thanks very much.
    Wasalam.

It is a sunnah to not eat anything before the sacrifice on Eid ul Adha. It is like a small fast. It is not obligatory, however those who think they have the ability should observe this small sunnah.

There are many hadiths regarding taking women and young girls as well for eid prayer. I will mention a few below:

    Bukhari :: Book of Two Festivals : 15 :: Hadith 88
    Narrated Um ‘Atiya:

We used to be ordered to come out on the Day of ‘Id and even bring out the virgin girls from their houses and menstruating women so that they might stand behind the men and say Takbir along with them and invoke Allah along with them and hope for the blessings of that day and for purification from sins.

    Bukhari :: Book 15 :: Hadith 96
    Narrated Aiyub:

Hafsa bint Sirin said, “On Id we used to forbid our girls to go out for ‘Id prayer. A lady came and stayed at the palace of Bani Khalaf and I went to her. She said, ‘The husband of my sister took part in twelve holy battles along with the Prophet and my sister was with her husband in six of them. My sister said that they used to nurse the sick and treat the wounded.

Once she asked, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! If a woman has no veil, is there any harm if she does not come out (on ‘Id day)?’

The Prophet said, ‘Her companion should let her share her veil with her, and the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers.’ ”

Hafsa added, “When Um-‘Atiya came, I went to her and asked her, ‘Did you hear anything about so-and-so?’ Um-‘Atlya said,

‘Yes, let my father be sacrificed for the Prophet (p.b.u.h). (And whenever she mentioned the name of the Prophet she always used to say, ‘Let my father be’ sacrificed for him). He said, ‘Virgin mature girls staying often screened and menstruating women should come out (on the ‘Id day). But the menstruating women should keep away from the Musalla.

And all the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers’.” Hafsa said, “On that I said to Um-‘Atiya, ‘Also those who are menstruating?’ ” Um-‘Atiya replied, “Yes. Do they not present themselves at ‘Arafat and elsewhere?”.

    Bukhari :: Book 15 :: Hadith 81
    Narrated Ibn Abbas:

The Prophet offered a two Rakat prayer on the Day of Id ul Fitr and he did not pray before or after it. Then he went towards women along with Bilal and ordered them to pay alms and so they started giving their earrings and necklaces (in charity).

    Muslim :: Book 4 : Hadith 1934
Umm ‘Atiyya reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) commanded us to bring out on’Id-ul-Fitr and ‘Id-ul-Adha young women, menstruating women and purdah-observing ladies, menstruating women kept back from prayer, but participated in goodness and supplication of the Muslims. I said: Messenger of Allah, one of us does not have an outer garment (to cover her face and body). He said: Let her sister cover her with her outer garment.

    and Allah knows best.
    Wasalam.

  14. @Pakistanized.

In the Hadith Indeed the fast is of Yaum e Arafah i.e. the 9th Zul Hajjah there in Saudia Arabia and not according to Pakistan. This fast will leads to two years sins being wiped out.

But i dont see any harm if we fast on the 9th Zul Hajjah of Pakistan as well…becoz according to another hadith the first 10 days of Zul Hajjah are sacred and we can not start a new month without spotting the moon. Only fasting on Eid day is forbidden. Thus a nafil fast on any other day is valid.

I would prefer you search some online fatwa website for the correct answer as i am not a scholar but i do know that some scholars prefer to fast on both the days.
    and Allah knows best.

  15. AoA Javeria and Eid Mubarak.

Not to eat anything before sacrifice

Not possible or difficult in Pakistan because Qurbani in Pakistani gets late due to unavailability of Qasai.

Women should go for eid prayers? any verse/hadith to back this?

    Thanks

  16. Eid mubarak to you too.

Got a question here, the sawm i.e. “Fast” of 9th Zulhajjah is basically the sawm of youm-e-arafah, means the day of Arafah. In Pakistan, 9th Zulhajjah came after youm-e-arafah in the land where Hajj is actually performed. Did the ulema in Pakistan ever shed some light in this area? That, if youm-e-arafah is gone, whats the point in fasting 9th Zulhajjah?

    Regards,

    H.Q.
